Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Oncologist with a Department of Health (DOH) license to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. As a key member of our oncology department, you will be responsible for providing specialized surgical care for patients with cancer, including performing complex oncologic surgeries, coordinating with oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure the best treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Care: Perform a variety of oncologic surgeries, including but not limited to, tumor resections, organ-sparing procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Assess and prepare patients for surgery, provide postoperative care, and manage complications or recovery processes.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other medical professionals to develop and execute personalized treatment plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about surgical options, risks, and recovery processes; offer psychological support and counseling as needed.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surgical staff and residents in the area of oncologic surgery.
- Clinical Research: Participate in clinical research, contribute to publications, and remain current with the latest advancements in surgical oncology techniques and treatments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Continuing Education: Stay up to date with the latest trends, treatments, and advancements in the field of surgical oncology.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Licensing/Certifications: Must hold a valid DOH (Department of Health) license to practice in [location], with specialization in Surgical Oncology.
- Experience: A minimum of [8] years of experience as a surgical oncologist or related role, with proven expertise in managing cancer surgeries.
- Skills:
- Advanced surgical skills in oncologic procedures.

- Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology is highly preferred.
- Additional training in minimally invasive surgery is a plus.
