Network Security Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist responsible for the implementation, configuration, and design of our Network and Security Infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure to achieve high performance, availability, and security.

• Network Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network-security infrastructure and multi-cloud platforms, including firewalls, wireless systems, and load balancers.
• Strategy & Architecture: Provide strategy and architecture support, conducting product and service evaluations to ensure the best fit for business needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network and security requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Vulnerability Audits: Conduct regular network and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation measures.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and security incidents, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop, document, and implement a Disaster Recovery Plan, performing root cause analysis as necessary.
• Research & Development: Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new technologies, standards, processes, tools, and techniques pertinent to network and security.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting within multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with relevant security technologies, such as Fortinet NSE and Palo Alto.
• Familiarity with Azure Firewall/security is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Network and Security architecture or implementation roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing net-sec solutions.

Certifications

• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto, or similar are highly desirable.
