Scope

 

The Coordinator – Materials management is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the company stores, ensuring efficient and effective materials handling, storage, and distribution. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and supporting the materials management process to align with the strategic goals of Transguard Group. The coordinator plays a key role in optimizing the store’s operations and ensuring the timely availability of materials.

 

Responsibilities

 

Financial

  • Inventory cost management: Monitor and manage inventory costs, ensuring cost-effective materials handling and storage.
  • Budget adherence: Assist in managing the materials management budgets, identifying opportunities for cost saving.

Customer

  • Supplier coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Internal collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to understand their materials needs to ensure timely availability or the required materials.

Process

  • Inventory management: Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and optimal inventory levels.
  • Compliance: Ensure all materials management activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement best practices for materials management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Innovation

  • Technology integration: utilize inventory management software and other tools to streamline stores operations and improve accuracy.
  • Continuous improvement: identify and implement innovative solutions to improve materials management process and outcome.

 

Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field
  • Two years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in materials management, inventory control and warehouse operations
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
