Maintenance supervisor Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface between the Manager, Operations and Distribution and the workshop managers.
- Organize and prioritise daily work activities in the assigned store.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with all warehouse directives within the workshops.
- Monitor and control all supply transactions; ensure performance metrics are met or exceeded.
- Prepare a weekly written report assessing workshop store’s activities and compliance to directives.
- Ensure the timely delivery of spares to the workshops and maintain up-to-date SAP data entry on all transactions.
- Coordinate with the customer service section for bi-weekly reconciliations within the workshops.
- Identify trends in material supply levels and determine if action is required to prevent potential problems or stoppages in the workshops.
- Assist in inventories. Ensure prompt attention to the causative research of discrepancies.
- Responsible for the collection and accuracy of the timesheets for those Supply employees working in the assigned workshop stores.
- Responsible for scheduling employee leaves and vacations, with emphasis on maintaining continuous warehouse operations.
- Monitor and order workshop stores equipment, office supplies, and any IT/safety needs
- Promote continuous improvement, and generate fresh and innovative ideas to improve departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain security awareness and understanding of the vulnerability of stock within the stores.
- Work with the Manager, Warehouse Operations and Distributions to resolve internal compliance issues.
- Ensure accurate and effective document control is maintained; including filing and administrative 5S.
- Drive 6S.
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping standards as directed.
- Be aware of the importance of physical security and the vulnerability of spares in the warehouse.
Experience & Education
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, in Mechanical & Electrical is preferred.
- Previous military and/or automotive experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding and ability to perform Mechanical & electrical works,
- Proficient in interpreting Technical manuals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and ERP systems.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English and Arabic, both in writing and verbally is required.
