HR Roster and Data Analyst Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview
The HR Roster & Data Analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing optimal rostering solutions that balance operational requirements, legal and safety compliance, cost-effectiveness, and employee well-being. This role closely liaises with line managers to ensure compliance with regulations and labor laws and provide their employees with fair and efficient schedules. They will leverage advanced data analytics skills to maintain the integrity of HR data, generate actionable insights, and create comprehensive reports and dashboards. This pivotal role combines expertise in roster management, data analysis, and HR governance to drive operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making across our organization.
Roles and Responsibility
- Develop and maintain improved roster schemes in support of and aligning with the OpCo’s requirements and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date staff rosters, ensuring compliance with Railway standards and all relevant regulations, labor law, labor agreements, and company policies ensuring fair and equal treatment of our employees.
- Coordinate rostering based on operational requirements and effectiveness while complying with the applicable safety regulations and procedures including but not limited to metrics such as train schedules, employee availability, rest periods, duty hours, prayer times, overtime, fatigue management, and workplace safety.
- Simulate and analyze the impact of different rostering scenarios on costs (overtime, premium pay), staff fatigue, and operational efficiency.
- Proactively conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate data privacy and security risks, potential UAE labor law breaches, and potential safety hazards, ensuring all HR activities and workplace practices comply with applicable data regulations, UAE labor law, and safety standards.
- Monitor staff attendance records (clock-in/clock-out), considering employee work locations and commuting, ensuring accurate recording of work hours and compliance with company policies.
- Support and effectively communicate with line managers regarding rostering including issues or concerns.
- Generate reports on employee utilization, performance, and other key metrics.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards across all HR ERP systems. This includes collecting, cleansing, and managing HR data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, integrity, consistency, and accessibility for reporting and analysis.
- Develop, and maintain comprehensive HR dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders; utilize data to measure HR effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.
- Regularly analyze standard HR metrics, present findings, and translate them to recommendations regarding the amendments of existing policies and procedures (e.g. benefits scheme, etc.)
- Analyze probation evaluation data and provide insights for managerial decision-making.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify potential trends, such as seasonal leave patterns or unusual absence rates, to inform proactive measures, improve employee well-being and overall efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality and reporting efficiencies through data-driven solutions and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Support HR data requirements for regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance purpose.
- Collaborate with Legal and IT teams to address data governance and compliance issues.
Academic Qualifications:
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field with a focus on HR
- Profound knowledge of applications like Power BI, Excel, and Oracle Fusion and MS Office Suite.
Professional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of HR processes, rostering, scheduling, metrics, and KPIs.
- Strong understanding of the UAE labor law and its application to complex operational requirements.
- Proven track record in managing, organizing, interpreting, and presenting complex data.
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- Proven track record in rostering and HR data analysis in the railway industry
- Confident user of data visualization tools like Power BI
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HR data analysis or similar role
