Job Description
Clinical Care:
- Diagnose and treat injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity, including fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compression, arthritis, and congenital anomalies.
- Perform surgical procedures, including but not limited to, fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repair, microsurgery, and reconstructive surgery.
- Provide non-surgical treatments such as injections, splinting, and therapy referrals when appropriate.
- Offer pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient satisfaction and optimal recovery outcomes.
Surgical Expertise:
- Utilize minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques, including microsurgical and endoscopic methods, to achieve the best patient outcomes.
- Stay current with technological advancements in hand and upper extremity surgery.
Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Care:
- Work closely with other specialists, including plastic surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
Patient Education:
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and surgical options clearly and empathetically to patients and their families.
- Provide guidance on rehabilitation and preventive measures to ensure long-term functionality.

Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or equivalent in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery with fellowship training in Hand Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in UAE.
- Established practice and a strong surgical Logbook
- Proven expertise in a broad range of hand and upper extremity surgeries.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
