About the job

Position Overview

The Asset Management Specialist provides professional engineering input by analyzing fleet data, monitoring performance metrics to improve condition & performance of rolling stock assets.

Primary focus is on development and optimization of condition monitoring tools, predictive maintenance strategies, rolling stock asset’s fault codes, asset register, maintenance plan and supporting documentation.

Engage with Fleet Maintenance & Engineering team to review maintenance practices and to ensure compliance with ISO 55001 requirement and also OEM or Fleet Maintenance Procedures.

Roles and Responsibility

• Oversee Rolling Stocks asset register for assets under Etihad Rail Freight custodianship.

• Development of BOM (bill of material) for classes of assets.

• Ensure the Asset maintenance Plans are correct and uploaded with the asset registration.

• Oversee asset life-cycle performance and identify key metrics for improvements.

• Perform predictive analysis using conditional monitoring data to support maintenance plan improvements.

• Develop and update SAP fault codes and perform root cause analysis to identify issues and suggest improvement actions.

• Development of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve asset condition, performance.

• Provide support during Internal/External Audit(s).

• Carry out monthly and ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.

• Compile Monthly & Annual Asset Performance Reports.

• Development of IoT (internet of things) for innovative asset management

Works under the instruction of Head of Fleet Reliability and Standards.

Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferable in Asset Management)

Professional Qualifications:

• Certificate in ISO 55001 will be an advantage.

• Certificate in ISO 9001 will be an advantage.

• Certification in SAP will be an advantage.

 

Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in rolling stock maintenance and operations environment.

• Experience in predictive & condition monitoring.

• Excellent asset life-cycle management experience.

• Excellent in fault analysis & engineering processes

• Experience in asset breakdown structure.

• Experience in Quality Assurance would be an advantage.

• Experience in SAP PM would be an advantage.

Other Skills:

• Excellent technical skills

• Great communication skills

• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skills

• Ability to work with multiple teams at all levels and personalities, in cross-cultural teams.

• Motivated self-starter who can operate with little oversight and guidance.
