About the job
Position Overview
As a member of Etihad Rail’s OpCo’s Training and Competency department, the Soft Skills Trainer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and facilitating training programs focused on developing interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in training customer facing and roles, a detailed understanding of soft skills, and the ability to engage and inspire diverse groups of learners.
Roles and Responsibility
Analyse, design, develop, and deliver soft skills training and assessments to new starters and refresher training as required to current staff.
Ability to coach and mentor.
Carryout department Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
Comply with the internal quality assurance standards of Etihad Rail’s OpCo Training Department.
Ensure that all staff as identified achieve and maintain the relevant levels of training and competence in accordance with current guidelines to enable them to carry out their designated roles.
Maintain and update training and competence records within the CMS.
Provide a high-quality learning experience for all students through developing best practice in learning, teaching and assessment promoting differentiation, standardisation and equality.
Ensure competencies and materials are reviewed and kept relevant and up to date.
Develop and produce training course material.
Develop and deliver accredited vocational courses in line with skills set and qualifications.
Able to work closely with other organisations.
Contribute towards the review and updating of training and assessment related policy and procedures.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma in a recognized qualification in a soft skills or non-technical skills.
Professional Qualifications:
- Recognized training qualification (i.e., C&G, PTLLS, TAQA, A1, Certificate of Education)
- Assessor qualification
- IQA qualification
Experience:
- No less than 5 years’ proven experience in a training role in the customer services or similar
- Competent in modern computer packages and e-learning techniques
- SAP /Oracle experience preferred
Other Skills:
- Excellent standard of the English language essential
- Previous experience in the rail industry
- Excellent knowledge of training processes, systems, and challenges
- Arabic language skills desirable
- Full driving licence is essential.
